I am blessed to have met people from all over the world, and many I continue to correspond with on a regular basis. I love hearing from them in emails or on Facebook. Somehow, just hearing from them brings back the memories of the trip where we met, and I am able to re-live that experience and the mutual fun times. Of course, it is also nice when they send me a photo, holding a copy of my book. Not only is it great to know the book is in a faraway place, but that my friend has read it and shared that experience as well. [Read more…] about Love to Hear From Friends
Virtual Blog Tour Starts Today
Hopefully, you read the guest post about a month ago by Chris Cobb, who has not only become a friend, but who has served as my agent and publicist since this book endeavor began. Actually, it was Chris who encouraged me to persevere when I became discouraged and frustrated by the book publishing challenge. [Read more…] about Virtual Blog Tour Starts Today

The weeks raced into December and dread crept into Sue. She had found the holidays almost unbearable since her parents’ deaths and now Patrick would be leaving for two weeks.

Though usually a second-level sport, this basketball season even the visitor bleachers were packed. Some of the overflow hometown backers were forced to sit across the gym, just to gain a seat. Students had to be posted to help reserve the front rows behind the clock keepers for the university recruiters. And the crowd was getting there earlier and earlier. Concession sales were up for the first time in four years because the Cherokee Indian basketball team had the town in a frenzy and Patrick was having his best season yet. If next year was anything like this, he knew he might have a shot at going to a powerhouse university. [Read more…] about Keeping Faith: Chapter 2 Part V
