Hope you liked the cover, but most of all I hope you like what is inside the cover. Coyote Smart is really quite different from the first two novels, and I personally think it is by far the best. But like I have said before, I always like the current one the most. [Read more…] about Coyote Smart is My Favorite
Answering Your Questions: Novel Ideas

Do you have questions for me about my writing, my books, my thoughts on life? Send them through the Contact form and I’ll answer them here.
Cindy, can you give us an example of an idea you had for one of your novels, and how that inspiration led you to the story it ultimately became?
Faith to Return in Book 3
I’m like an old dog—loyal to a fault when it comes to those I like, love and respect. I’ll fight to the finish for them and support them the distance. Same way with my characters. Of course, some characters I like better than others, and some I grow to admire as they develop into more likeable “people”—like Patrick for example. But how can anyone not adore Faith? It’s Only a Book When You Finish
My virtual book tour will start in a week, so I have been doing some front work for it, answering all sorts of questions. One is “when did I start writing?”

Hauling Rocks & Writing

I hauled 786 pounds of rocks recently—in my hands and arms, and my body is not very happy with me!! Actually, it doesn’t take many rocks to add up in weight, and I ran out before I finished the flower bed. I can’t say that I am sorry though because my ole back was telling me to stop. Novel Writing–The Devil is in the Details

Novel writing to me is just like sitting down to tell a story—only on paper. I actually wrote Keeping Faith long hand, and it took just a little over a month, but editing took a year. The plot, settings, and the characters came to me as easy as grilling and then savoring a good steak, but oh, how I hate the details of editing, especially since I am a terrible speller. (I know I have spell check, but you have to get close enough so that the little guy in the computer knows what word it is!) [Read more…] about Novel Writing–The Devil is in the Details
