Guest Post by Chris Cobb:
I have certainly had fun working with Cindy in getting her first book, Keeping Faith, published and creating an online brand for her as an up and coming author. Early in the process, I set up Cindy’s Twitter account and started following book bloggers, avid readers and other independent writers. This is indeed a different and interesting group of people from the Internet marketers that are following my own Twitter account.
One of the first “tweeple” we connected with was Josie Kramer aka The Book Journal. She supports mostly independent authors and publishers by reviewing their works and including them in her store. By virtue of getting to know her through Twitter, Keeping Faith made it to the top of the review list and a listing in the store. I’m proud to quote her review of Keeping Faith:
“This book surprised me. I knew the subject matter was touchy (young boy abused by priest) and was a little worried about how it would be handled.
Expertly. Ms. Bradford has managed to write a heavy subjected book in a way that we feel sadness, happiness and shock all at the right spots. I like that she was able to pull back just when you thought your emotions were going to burst.
For a first novel Cindy Bradford has scored one out of the park. Patrick (main character) becomes your friend. You want to be right there next to him as he goes through the highs and lows of his life. You want to laugh with him at times, and at other, you want to wrap your arms around him and never let go.
Once you pick up this book, you will want to cancel all your plans just to be able to finish it.”
You can find Keeping Faith at Indie{pendent} Books.
