Keeping Faith is Born

November 12th, 2009 by cindy

Guess what I have in my hands???? Can you believe it? I can’t. It has been a very long journey, and it isn’t quite over yet. It will still be a couple of weeks until the book is truly released, but I received mine by UPS on Monday. And where was I? In Austin. I was miserable because I so wanted to be home, holding my book. So last night my friends, Carlene & Judy, met me at the airport with my unopened book, and we went to Texas Roadhouse to open and celebrate!

It is hard to explain how I felt or even still feel—first the utmost joy, and then a few tears of joy. This book was started about three or maybe four years ago, (I’ve honestly lost track) and sat gathering dust for a very long time, so it almost seems impossible that it is finally in my hands. I could change a few things—a comma or semi-colon here or there, and let the publisher know today before the real printing begins, but I’m not touching it. It’s not a perfect book, but IT IS MY BOOK!

Within two weeks it should be on Amazon, and then as time goes by in some book stores. I’m not sure which ones at this point. I’ll keep you posted as I know more. The Kindle version should be ready before Christmas and you’ll get a notice about that, but in the meantime, don’t you just want to hold it in your hands?  I certainly do!

Thank you all for your nice comments. In response to Bookwhirl, I do need to say that this is not a “faith-based” book. Although there is no absence of faith—in mankind and the power of redemption and healing, Keeping Faith is primarily a love story and not a religious one. Thanks.
