I have to admit, Carmella might just be my favorite. The first chapter where Patrick meets her is my very favorite of the book!! She is so real and so charismatic, don't you think? I would like her as a good friend, epecially since she and Stefano have such good wine!!!

I wonder if Gayle and I are related? My favorite was Carmella too. I would like to live my real life thru her. Imagine opening your home to complete strangers. I think Jan would have a heart attack.

Actually, knowing more about Patrick and his inner feelings would be great. My favorite character is Carmella. She is so vivacious, fun, lives in a neat place, always upbeat, loves wine, independent, etc. etc. While we are commenting....the first few pages were a shock and grabbed me in the beginning. Then as the story unfolded, I just was subdued and feeling the warm & fuzzys until the middle of the book. At that point, there were so many turns and interesting events that I could hardly put it down. I must say that I wanted to throw the book at the wall when Carol and Olivia were in the accident. So many emotions. Good job.
